In autumn, Nutty the squirrel was very busy. He gathered acorns and buried them all over the park.

One by the bench. One by the slide. One under the big oak tree. Dig, drop, pat!

"Now I will have food all winter," Nutty said.

When winter came, Nutty went looking for his acorns. He found the one by the bench. He found the one by the slide. But he could not find the others!

"Oh no," said Nutty. "I forgot where I put them!"

Luckily, he found enough to fill his tummy. But many acorns stayed hidden under the snow.

Then spring came. The sun warmed the ground. The rain watered the soil. And all over the park, tiny green sprouts popped up.

"What are these?" asked Nutty.

Wise Old Owl smiled. "Those are your forgotten acorns, Nutty. They are growing into new oak trees!"

Nutty's eyes grew wide. "I'm not forgetful," he said proudly. "I'm a tree planter!"
